Your Moment Is Now: Goals Are Meant to Be Lived

At the beginning of this year, there were certain things I knew I wanted to do and experience. One of them was seeing Jeezy in concert.
Nothing complicated. Nothing deep. Just something I wanted to experience and enjoy.
So, I told Shalom.
Later, I found a date that would be perfect for us to go. And what made it even more special was that the date fell on our eight-month anniversary.
I found the opportunity. I shared what I wanted. And he made it happen. ❤️
And baby, we had FUN!
From getting dressed up to stepping out together, enjoying the show and simply being present with each other, we enjoyed every moment. Even though it was a quick trip to Vegas, it genuinely felt like a vacation.
And somewhere in the middle of all that fun, I was reminded of something I talk about all the time:
Your best life isn't only something you plan for. At some point, you have to LIVE it.
I'm a goal setter. I believe in writing the vision, making the plan and doing the work. But I've learned that goals don't always have to be about business, money, accomplishments or the next big milestone.
Sometimes the goal is an experience.
Sometimes it's taking the trip.
Sometimes it's seeing the concert.
Sometimes it's wearing the dress.
Sometimes it's making memories with someone you love.
And sometimes it's simply giving yourself permission to enjoy what you've worked so hard to build.
There's also power in saying what you want out loud.
I told Shalom that seeing Jeezy was something I wanted to do this year. When I found the right opportunity, I communicated it. And I love that he heard me and helped turn something I wanted to experience into a memory we now share.
That's partnership. And that's intentional living.
One of my favorite pictures from our night has the words “YOUR MOMENT IS NOW” glowing above us.

When I saw the photo, I couldn't help but think about how perfectly those words captured the moment.
Because your moment isn't always somewhere in the future.
It's easy to say:
When I accomplish this...
When I make more money...
When everything settles down...
When I reach the next level...
Then I'll enjoy my life.
But what if some of the life you've been praying, planning and working for is already happening?
Don't become so focused on the next goal that you miss the answered prayers, beautiful experiences and ordinary moments happening right now.
Set the goal.
Make the plan.
Say what you want.
Do your part.
And when the opportunity comes?
Enjoy every moment.
Vegas reminded me that I'm still building, still dreaming and still setting goals—but I'm also allowed to enjoy the life I'm creating along the way.
And that's exactly what I intend to do.
Your moment is now.
